    Game, set and match

The start of the new school year marks the beginning of the game bird season. Being completely lily-livered, I have never despatched anything larger than an unfortunate fly, but I really look forward to being able to buy fresh, local game at the butchers here in Southwold.

    A fruity little number

There’s nothing more satisfying than setting off for a walk and stumbling across a hedgerow of ripe blackberries. Who can resist the gorgeous colour of those ripe, bursting berries? Whine and Foodie

    Whine and Foodie

As a social occasion for participants to top up their cholesterol and alcohol levels, a wine and cheese matching evening would be hard to beat. But as a means to discovering that winning taste combination, it’s about as much use as backing a three-legged nag to win at Newmarket.
